Books In ShandonNestled in a quaint corner of Southwestern Ohio, Books in Shandon buys and sells rare and used books out of an 1843 Victorian house. The bookstore is home to over 12,000 titles, specializing in business, history, military, Asia, Brazil, agriculture, military and children’s stories. Their online inventory is listed with the Advanced Book Exchange and ships worldwide. Books in Shandon is located in the historic town of Shandon, the first Welsh settlement in Ohio: 10 miles northwest of Cincinnati, near the Indiana border. Jim and Carol Wilson welcome you with coffee or tea and Welsh cakes on the veranda in summer and in front of the fireplace in winter. They have 10 rooms of books: upstairs, downstairs, in the kitchen, in the garage and in the little house next door. Visit in person, shop online or call for personalized recommendations. They have an easy to use online search to help locate your book. In addition to used and rare books, Books in Shandon collects publications on local history, sells books written by local authors and hosts book signings. Owners Jim and Carol are frequent guest experts on public radio WMUB in Oxford, OH and teach a course on book collecting. Their store has been featured in The Cincinnati Enquirer, City Beat, Country Living and Cincinnati Magazine. "I have always imagined that
paradise will be a kind of library." - Jorge Luis Borges
